Lighter and with a more compact pack size than a fleece jacket, but with similar insulation properties, this MICROGUARD SILVER lined jacket features a REGULAR SYSTEM ZIP for seamless docking with a compatible weatherproof outer garment. When worn as a stand-alone garment, the wind and moisture repellent shell fabric has a broader spectrum of use than a fleece.
SYSTEM ZIPPERThis is the longer version of the two SYSTEM ZIPPER variations, featured on our longer cut weatherproof and insulated jackets. The zip allows two garments to be easily combined to deliver effective cold weather protection: the front zip of inner jacket is compatible with the secondary zip on the shell jacket. Depending on the potential activity and the climatic conditions, various fleece or filled jackets can be used to create the perfect system garment. ARTICULATED ELBOWSA design feature of our jackets and shirts. Here, the elbow the garment is anatomically tailored to conform to the natural biomechanics of the elbow, thus significantly improving freedom of movement. STOW AWAY POCKETAn integrated, pouch style pocket into which the jacket can be stuffed to save valuable pack space. MICROGUARD SILVER MICROGUARD SILVER consists of three components and delivers effective and comfortable insulation at a minimum weight: 1. A layer of fine micro fibres to provide optimal insulation at a minimum weight, a soft feel and superb compressibility (MICRO). 2. A stabilising outer layer of thermally bonded mixed fibres to provide a good loft and durability (GUARD). 3. An additional thin layer of breathable fleece with bonded silver particles on the contact side. These silver particles reflect the heat generated by the body and improve the heat retention properties by up to 20% (Silver). TACTEL TAFFETA FULL DULL DOUBLE RIPA tabby weave, highly durable, 6.6 nylon fabric by INVISTA. The material has a soft feel, a smooth surface and delivers good ripstop and abrasion resistant performance in spite of the low intrinsic weight. A very light, dense weave polyester ripstop fabric made from extremely fine 30 denier yarns, used as a shell fabric for our MICROGUARD interlined apparel. The double ripstop construction, with reinforced cross threads woven into the fabric, delivers a high tearstrength spec. A DWR finish renders the fabric durably water repellent, while the use of full dull yarns gives the fabric its signature matt finish.
