The SOFTSHELL jacket for strenuous trekking trips. The smooth outer surface of the MICROFT CX hybrid fabric is robust and highly wind/ water repellent. Since the fabric does not have a membrane, the breathability is extremely high, making the garment very suitable for sweaty-inducing activity. The inside of the fabric is textured like a light fleece and delivers a measured degree of insulation. To enhance the adaptive climate and freedom of movement, the entire back section of the jacket consists of active stretch, even more breathable FLEX SHIELD HEXAGRID DWR. Venting pit zips positioned where they are protected from the weather allow the air flow to be adapted to suit the conditions. VENT PRO SYSTEMA generic term, used to describe various ventilation features on our jackets and shirts, the most important of which are the vents at the back of the garment and ventilating pockets that can be held open to allow cooling fresh air to enter through the mesh lining. MICROFT CX A very lightweight hybrid fabric with a dense-weave, smooth outer surface and a voluminous polyester microfibre inner surface, manufactured by the Japanese microfibre specialist TEIJIN. MICROFT CX is outstandingly wind and water repellent yet breathable enough to maintain a pleasant inner microclimate. FLEX SHIELD HEXAGRID DWR Highly wind resistant and breathable, this cross-elastic, double-faced fabric is used in SOFTSHELLS for summer activities. On the outer surface the polyester fabric has a very dense weave and a durably water resistant finish. On the inside, a “honeycomb” structure serves as a spacer preventing large-area adhesion to the skin and providing a degree of protection against cooling. |
