The top-of-the-range model in the Downhill collection is the versatile SLOPE PERFORMANCE 5-in-1 jacket. Tailored from new TEXAPORE O2 SNOW DENSUS, an extremely waterproof, high breathability, “quiet” fabric, the jacket features a light insulating AIRMESH HIGHLOFT lining and incorporates a removable inner jacket with a MICROGUARD interlining and detachable sleeves for wear as a gilet. The versatile design gives the user a total of five different wear options that can be fine tuned to suit various weather conditions and activities. The jacket also has the full complement of features: a detachable hood, RECCO reflector, snow skirt, special pockets for ski goggles, ski pass and mobile phone, and an integrated scarf/ face protector.
SUMMIT HOODThe SUMMIT HOOD is connected to the jacket by a zip. The zip attaches well down the outer collar to ensure a reliable weatherproof fit. The hood can be zipped off and stowed away in a seperate inside pocket (Hood Pocket). The peak (1) is specially constructed and stiffened for stability in rough weather. The drawcords for field of vision (2) and volume (3) regulation are course one-hand operated.ARTICULATED ELBOWSA design feature of our jackets and shirts. Here, the elbow the garment is anatomically tailored to conform to the natural biomechanics of the elbow, thus significantly improving freedom of movement.The RECCO Rescue System is an electronic device used to locate avalanche victims. It works on the frequency doubling principle. Via the hand-held scanning antenna a directional signal is sent out from the transmitter and reflected by the RECCO reflector. The RECCO System is used in many ski areas worldwide by rescue services and ski patrols. It is incorporated into all of our SNOWSPORTS apparel. The inner garment can be worn on its own in cold, dry weather conditions.TEXAPORE EXTREME 2L Very abrasion resistant and durable polyamide with a TEXAPORE coating; used as a reinforcement material at high wear areas. MICROGUARD MICROGUARD is a dual layer artificial fibre fill with fine MICRO fibres inside to trap air and provide optimal insulation. An outer layer of thermally bonded mixed fibres provides a good loft and durability.The fine micro fibres are bonded across the inner fabric, while the compact mixed fibres are only attached on one side to the shell material and lie on top of the micro fibres. This construction virtually eliminates heat loss through seams. WARM LINING 100% Polyester FULL DULL MINI RIPSTOP A very light nylon fabric (64g/m2) with a matt finish, made from 40 denier yarn. The mini ripstop structure and the dense weave render the fabric extremely robust. The fabric is also highly breathable, windproof and water repellent. FULL DULL MINI RIPSTOP is used as a backing material for TEXAPORE laminates and as a face fabric in JACK WOLFSKIN's weatherproof jackets. NYLON TAFFETA, fibreproof A particularly tightly woven nylon taffeta fabric, used as a lining material in quilted garments. Logolining, fibreproof A premuim quality soft polyester lining material that prevents down and fibre loss and features a discreet all-over pawprint logo. Used in our down and synthetic fibre fill jackets. AIRMESH HIGHLOFT TEXAPORE O2 SNOW DENSUS 2LA very light, highly breathable thermal mesh lining fabric. The contact side of the fabric has a high loft structure to trap air for insulation, which means the thermal spec is similar to a light interlining or a fleece lining. However, the mesh structure delivers a better breathability rating than a conventional interlining and renders the fabric both lighter and more compressible than a fleece lining. Used in our ski jackets and winter hiking pants. An extremely waterproof, high breathability TEXAPORE O2 2-ply laminate, developed specifically for wear in cold, snowy conditions. The fabric is significantly 'quieter' when cold than conventional weather protective materials. Laminated to the back side of the dense weave nylon shell fabric is a pore-free, hydrophilic PU membrane with a water column rating of 20,000 mm and a MVTR (breathability rating) of 20,000g/m²/24h. Used in our SNOW SPORTS jackets.
