This functional shirt has a sophisticated body-mapping fit, flat-stitched to prevent chafing, to provide maximum wearer comfort. DRYBASE SUPERTHERMIC delivers great insulation performance, moisture transport and a dry feel. The fabric does not adhere readily to the body when sweating. This effect is achieved through the 'waffle' structure on the body side, which traps air for better insulation and reduces the skin contact area. The fibres of DRYBASE SUPERTHERMIC consist of Trevira Bioactive and contain microscopic silver particles that create an anti-baterial effect, thus inhibiting the formation of bacteria and associated unpleasant odours. The zip at the collar provides a useful vention option.
The base material for DRYBASE SUPERTHERMIC is the new functional polyester fibre, TREVIRA BIOACTIVE, which sets new standards in textile hygiene. The fibres contain embedded silver particles for an integral antimicrobial effect; the formation of bacteria, and associated unpleasant odours, is strictly limited. In contrast to chemical treatments, the antimicrobial effect is retained permanently and causes no irritation to the skin. DRYBASE SUPERTHERMIC is a bipolar knit with a smooth outer surface and a honeycomb structured contact side. The honeycomb structure traps air for insulation and the reduced contact with the skin produces a dry wear climate. The moisture management performance is significantly better than conventional fabrics with “roughed up” surfaces. The garments have a body-hugging cut to prevent the chilling effect caused by moisture evaporation on the skin and to stop the underwear from bunching up beneath the next layer in the system.
